Oxytocin 40 units/mL
The bonding hormone
Naturally released during touch, intimacy, breastfeeding, and trust-building moments. Reduces cortisol, activates the parasympathetic system, and supports emotional regulation.

A prescription nasal spray for stress reduction, emotional bonding, and parasympathetic calm — bioidentical Oxytocin, delivered intranasally.
Oxytocin is the neurohormone of trust, calm, and connection. Stress, isolation, and life transitions can blunt it. Nasal delivery restores it directly.

Proven Ingredients
One molecule. Direct nasal delivery to the central nervous system. Compounded by a U.S. licensed pharmacy and reviewed by a board-certified physician before every prescription.
The bonding hormone
Naturally released during touch, intimacy, breastfeeding, and trust-building moments. Reduces cortisol, activates the parasympathetic system, and supports emotional regulation.
CNS access
Intranasal Oxytocin reaches central neural pathways within 30–60 minutes — far more effective for behavioral and mood effects than oral or sublingual routes.

Connection isn't soft science — it's neurochemistry. Oxytocin is the molecule that makes it real.

The science
Oxytocin is the neurohormone behind trust, bonding, and calm. Three things happen when it's replenished.
↓ Cortisol
Oxytocin counters the cortisol-driven stress response, lowering reactivity and physiological arousal within 30–60 minutes of dosing.
↑ Connection
Oxytocin is released during eye contact, touch, and intimate moments — and dosing it directly amplifies the same pathways.
Parasympathetic
Activates the rest-and-digest nervous system, supporting deeper sleep, easier digestion, and recovery from chronic stress.

Personalize your treatment
Hair thinning has different drivers at different life stages. Here's how HairMax addresses the most common concerns at each.
After childbirth, oxytocin can plateau or drop. Restoring it supports the bonding, calm, and warmth most parents want during early years.
High-pressure decade — career, relationships, family. Oxytocin counters the cortisol response so your nervous system isn't stuck on.
Loneliness can be physical. Oxytocin amplifies the reward of connection, making everyday social interactions feel more rewarding.
The mechanism
Oxytocin acts on the brain, the autonomic nervous system, and behavioral reward circuits — all from a single nasal dose.
Oxytocin opposes cortisol. Within an hour of dosing, sympathetic stress activation drops and felt sense of calm rises.
Triggers the same reward and attachment circuits engaged during touch, intimacy, and meaningful conversation.
Shifts the autonomic nervous system into rest-and-digest mode, supporting digestion, sleep, and recovery.
Eligibility
Oxytocin is well-tolerated by most adults at this dose — but a few specific medical situations require a conversation with your provider before starting.
Dr. Ressalam reviews these factors during the intake. If Oxytocin Boost Spray isn't the right fit, your card authorization is released — you are never charged.

Application protocol
Effects begin within 15–30 minutes and last 60–90 minutes. Many patients dose situationally (before social/intimate moments) or daily — your provider will advise.
Before first use, prime by pumping into the air 4–6 times until a fine mist appears. Repeat priming if you haven't used the spray in 24+ hours.
Slight forward tilt — not back. This positions the nasal cavity for optimal absorption and avoids the spray running down your throat.
Insert the nozzle into one nostril, close the other with a finger, and spray once while inhaling gently through that nostril.
Switch nostrils and repeat. Most prescriptions call for 1 spray per nostril, once or twice daily — follow your provider's instructions.
Avoid blowing your nose for 5–10 minutes after dosing to allow full mucosal absorption. Resume normal activity.
Many patients dose 30 minutes before social or intimate moments. Daily use is also supported. Avoid mid-day if you find oxytocin makes you sleepy.
Most patients feel a quiet warmth, a softening of stress, and a sense of openness. Big rushes or strong sedation are not typical.
Each dose works on its own — there's no buildup phase like with antidepressants. Effects begin within 30 minutes and fade over 90 minutes.
Refrigerate after opening. Compounded oxytocin is most stable at 2–8 °C. Discard 30 days after first use or per the label.
What to expect
15–30 min
Onset
Subtle warmth, calmer breathing, softening of stress. Most patients first notice it as the absence of the usual mental noise.
30–60 min
Peak
Strongest connection and bonding effects. Optimal window for social, intimate, or therapeutic use.
60–90 min
Sustained
Effects gradually decline. Many patients describe lingering warmth and lower reactivity for the rest of the day.
2–4 hrs
Return to baseline
Active oxytocin window closes. No residual sedation or mood drop. Reapply per provider instructions if needed.
Long term
No tolerance
Oxytocin works each time without building tolerance. Many patients use it ongoing for years as a stress and connection support.
Timing reflects average response from clinical literature on intranasal Oxytocin. Individual response varies based on stress baseline, life-stage hormonal context, and consistency of use.
Your questions
Yes. Intranasal oxytocin reaches central nervous system pathways far more efficiently than oral or sublingual routes (which have low bioavailability) and avoids the discomfort and cost of IV. The intranasal route is the standard for oxytocin in research.
Most patients feel a calmer, warmer baseline within 15–30 minutes of the first dose. Behavioral effects on connection and bonding are most pronounced 30–60 minutes after dosing.
No. Oxytocin doesn't produce physical dependence or tolerance. It works each time you dose and fades after 60–90 minutes. Long-term use is well-tolerated under physician supervision.
No. Oxytocin is involved in labor and lactation. We do not prescribe supplemental nasal oxytocin during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell Dr. Ressalam during the intake.
No. Oxytocin works on a completely different system than SSRIs or benzodiazepines. It targets the social/bonding/parasympathetic pathway directly. Many patients use it alongside or instead of traditional anxiety medications.
Both pathways involve oxytocin release, but MDMA also releases serotonin and dopamine and has very different effects, durations, and contexts. Oxytocin Boost Spray is a clinical-grade nasal medication used at home, not a psychedelic experience.
