HerTelemeds Is Not a Substitute for Comprehensive Medical Care

HerTelemeds connects you with licensed healthcare providers for focused consultations related to specific wellness and dermatology treatments. This service is not a substitute for comprehensive primary care, ongoing management of chronic conditions, or emergency medical treatment.

Do not use HerTelemeds in place of:

• An ongoing relationship with a primary care physician
• Treatment for acute or emergency medical conditions
• Specialist care for conditions outside our service scope (cardiology, oncology, psychiatric crisis, etc.)
• Routine health screenings and preventive care

If You Are Experiencing a Medical Emergency

Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.

HerTelemeds does not provide emergency medical services. Our providers review intake forms asynchronously and may not respond within a timeframe that is safe for urgent conditions.

Signs of medical emergency include (but are not limited to): chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe allergic reaction, stroke symptoms (drooping face, slurred speech, weakness on one side), severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, suicidal thoughts.

The Clinical Relationship Is Limited

When you complete an intake through HerTelemeds and a provider reviews and approves a prescription, a limited clinical relationship is established between you and that provider — limited to the specific treatment you requested. The provider does not assume responsibility for your general health, does not coordinate care with your other providers unless you specifically request it, and is not available for open-ended medical consultation outside the specific product you purchased.

Prescription Decisions Are at Provider Discretion

Completing an intake and submitting payment does not guarantee a prescription. Our providers exercise independent clinical judgment. If a provider determines a treatment is not appropriate or safe for you, they will decline to prescribe, and you will receive a full refund. The decision is final and is not grounds for appeal.

Results Vary

Individual response to prescription therapies varies significantly based on biology, adherence, concurrent medications, and other factors. We make no guarantee of specific results or outcomes.

No Controlled Substances

HerTelemeds does not prescribe controlled substances of any kind. Any product discussion that implies otherwise is not representative of our service.

Consult Your Primary Care Provider

Before starting any new prescription therapy, we strongly recommend you inform your primary care provider. If you do not have a primary care provider, we strongly recommend you establish one. Our providers will document your treatment and can transmit records to your PCP at your request.
