Application protocol
How to apply Hair Root Strength Rx
Follow your provider's personalized instructions. The standard protocol below applies to most prescriptions — once or twice daily depending on your plan.

Start with a dry or towel-dried scalp
Apply to a clean, dry scalp. You may apply immediately after washing — pat hair gently dry first. Do not apply to wet hair.

Part hair, apply directly to scalp
Using the dropper, apply 1 ml (≈20 drops) to the thinning area. Part hair in sections to ensure scalp contact.

Massage gently for 1–2 minutes
Use fingertips to gently massage the serum into the scalp. This enhances absorption and stimulates blood circulation.

Allow to absorb — do not rinse
Leave in. Do not rinse. Allow at least 4 hours before washing hair. Ideally apply at night.

Wash hands immediately
Always wash hands thoroughly after application. Avoid contact with face, eyes, and mucous membranes.
When to apply
Most providers prescribe once-daily PM application. Some protocols call for twice daily. Follow your provider's recommendation.
The shedding phase
Expect increased shedding in weeks 2–6. This is normal and temporary. Most patients see it resolve by week 8.
Consistency is everything

Topical Finasteride at 0.1% is used off-label for women with female pattern hair loss under provider supervision. At topical concentrations, systemic absorption is significantly lower than oral forms. Not for use during pregnancy or while trying to conceive.
Why am I shedding more after I start using it?

This is expected and temporary. Minoxidil shifts follicles from the resting phase to the active growth phase. Old resting hairs shed to make way for new growth. Most patients see shedding resolve by week 8.
How is this different from regular Minoxidil foam?
