WEEKS 1–8
Titration and adjustment
Your provider starts you on a low dose to let your body adjust, then steps up gradually. Most people notice reduced appetite and quieter food thoughts in the first few weeks. Mild gastrointestinal side effects (nausea, upset stomach, constipation) are most common early and typically improve as your body acclimates. This is the phase where consistent check-ins with your provider matter most — dose adjustments, side effect management, and setting sustainable eating patterns.
