Erogenous Arousal Cream — Arginine HCl 6% + Papaverine HCl 5% + Alprostadil 0.2%

You're not broken, you just need to get your blood flowing a bit.

Erogenous Arousal Cream combines three prescription-grade vasodilators in a compounded topical formulation. Applied to the clitoris, it increases blood flow to the genital tissue within minutes, producing the warmth, engorgement, and heightened sensitivity that the body needs to translate touch into pleasurable sensations. For women whose arousal has become harder to access — whether from hormonal shifts, medication side effects, or simply the way bodies change over time — Erogenous Arousal Cream offers a physiological part of the solution.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Results, stage by stage.

Erogenous Arousal Cream works locally and quickly. The timeline here is measured in minutes, not weeks.

MINUTES 11–20

After application

Research shows that topical alprostadil increases blood flow and warmth to the vulva, clitoris, and surrounding genital tissues within about 20 minutes of application. Compared to a standard lubricant, it significantly increased circulation, causing the clitoris and labia to become more engorged and sensitive. Many participants also reported a pleasant warming sensation.

BY 30 MINUTES

Established arousal

Engorgement, warmth, and heightened sensitivity are typically fully established by the time the 30-minute window arrives. Sixty percent of women in a published study reported being aware of genital sensations with topical alprostadil that they did not experience with an OTC lubricant. For women whose physical sensation has felt dulled, this is the physiological reset the body needs to respond to touch.

THROUGH THE ENCOUNTER

During play

The vasodilatory effect — increased blood flow, engorgement, temperature, and sensitivity — persists through the intimate encounter. Arousal and pleasure build more readily in this state.

Arousal has three separate dimensions — and each is important. Desire is the wanting (the brain's role). Arousal is the physiological body response (what this cream addresses). Pleasure is the sensation of actually liking what's happening. Erogenous Arousal Cream works on the physiological arousal dimension — the blood flow and engorgement that make the body physically ready and responsive. If the underlying issue is desire (wanting), Connect Us Boost Spray may be the more relevant starting point. If both are relevant, a combined approach may be appropriate. Your HerTeleMeds clinician will help you identify which barrier you're actually facing.

ABOUT THE TREATMENT

What is Erogenous Arousal Cream?

How the three actives work together

Each ingredient in Erogenous Arousal Cream promotes vasodilation — the widening of blood vessels — each operating slightly differently, creating a complementary effect that's more powerful than any single active alone.

Arginine HCl 6% helps the body produce nitric oxide, a natural compound that relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow. When applied topically, it supports the body's natural arousal response by bringing more circulation to the genital tissues.

Papaverine HCl 5% helps blood vessels stay relaxed and open for longer. This allows increased blood flow to continue, enhancing and extending the effects of the other ingredients in the formula.

Alprostadil 0.2% is a well-studied ingredient that increases blood flow and sensitivity by relaxing blood vessels and surrounding tissues. Research has shown that topical alprostadil can help improve sexual arousal and increase the likelihood of satisfying sexual experiences for people experiencing arousal difficulties.

Together, these three vasodilators increase clitoral and labial blood flow, tissue engorgement, warmth, and sensory sensitivity — creating the physical conditions in which touch becomes pleasure.

Why does blood flow matter?

The clitoris, labia, and vulvar tissue are densely innervated — they contain more nerve endings per square centimeter than anywhere else in the body. But nerve endings require blood flow to transmit sensation effectively. When circulation to genital tissue is reduced — from hormonal decline, aging, certain medications, or simply being under-aroused — even direct physical stimulation can feel muted, distant, or disconnected from pleasure.

This is the physiological basis of decreased sensation. The nerves are there. The pathways are intact. The tissue simply isn't receiving the blood flow that would allow them to perform.

Who this is for

Women who notice that their physical response to touch has become muted, slower to arrive, or less reliable. Women experiencing decreased sensitivity associated with perimenopause or menopause. Women on SSRIs, antihypertensives, or other medications that reduce genital blood flow as a side effect. Women who want reliable, near-immediate physiological support for arousal.

This cream is applied externally to the clitoris and surrounding vulvar tissue. It is not for internal or vaginal use.

Who this may not be appropriate for

This formulation works on vascular arousal. It may produce limited results for women whose decreased sensation stems from nerve damage, pelvic floor dysfunction, or desire-related causes that need to stimulate the brain rather than the blood flow. Often, a combination of approaches is the right pairing for increased pleasure. Your HerTeleMeds clinician will help determine whether vascular arousal support is the right starting point for your experience.

HOW TO USE

Four steps, every day

  1. STEP 01

Apply 30 minutes before sex play

Apply a pea-sized amount directly to the clitoris 30 minutes before intercourse or intimate activity. Less is more — you can always increase next time, but start small and pay attention to how your body responds. Apply with clean fingertips and allow to absorb.

  2. STEP 02

    Use those 30 minutes intentionally

The 30-minute window while the cream absorbs is your transition time. The cream addresses the body; your job in those 30 minutes is to bring your head along too. Step away from your to-do list. Shower and use a scent or lotion you reserve for intimate time. Put on a romance novel or a playlist, or spend a few minutes thinking about what you find attractive about your partner. The cream will start to have effects on your body; give your brain some attention as well.

  3. STEP 03

    Apply externally only

This product is for external application to the clitoris and surrounding vulvar tissue. Do not apply internally or vaginally.

  4. STEP 04

    Wash hands after application

Rinse hands thoroughly after applying to avoid inadvertent transfer to eyes or other mucous membranes.

Some patients experience mild warmth or tingling at the application site — this is expected and indicates the vasodilatory effect is working. If burning or significant irritation occurs, rinse the area and contact your HerTeleMeds clinician.

Topical alprostadil doubled the peak systolic velocity of the clitoral artery in published research, producing labial and clitoral engorgement accompanied by a pleasant sensation of warmth

In a published study, 60% of women reported conscious awareness of genital sensations with topical alprostadil that they did not experience with an OTC lubricant

Three prescription-grade vasodilators in one formulation — arginine, papaverine, and alprostadil each work on distinct mechanisms, producing a more comprehensive vasodilatory effect than single-active OTC products

No parabens, no menthol, no peppermint oil, no camphor — formulated without the common irritants found in most OTC arousal products

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Erogenous Arousal Cream results imagery

How does increased blood flow actually increase sensation?

+

The clitoris and surrounding vulvar tissue are among the most densely innervated areas of the body — but nerve endings require blood flow to function and transmit sensation effectively. When blood flow to genital tissue is reduced, sensation becomes muted even when the nerves themselves are intact. Vasodilation — the widening of blood vessels — increases engorgement, warmth, and the neurochemical environment in which touch is registered as pleasure. More blood flow means more responsive tissue. More responsive tissue means touch is more likely to translate into sensation.

Is this the same as Scream Cream?

+

Scream Cream is the name of one brand's compounded topical arousal product. Formulations vary widely — some contain sildenafil, L-arginine, or aminophylline; others include menthol, yohimbine, or ginkgo biloba. Erogenous Arousal Cream contains arginine, papaverine, and alprostadil — the combination with the most direct clinical evidence for genital vasodilation in women. It contains no parabens, no menthol, no peppermint oil, and no camphor, which makes it better suited for women with vulvar sensitivity or those who find stimulant-type sensations uncomfortable.

How is this different from OTC arousal products?

+

Most OTC arousal products create a sensation of warmth or tingling through mild irritants — menthol, peppermint oil, or cinnamon — which stimulate nerve endings superficially without producing true vasodilation. Erogenous Arousal Cream works through actual vascular mechanisms, producing real increases in blood flow, engorgement, and tissue temperature.

I'm on an SSRI and my sensation has really decreased. Will this help?

+

SSRIs frequently reduce genital blood flow and sensitivity as a side effect — this is one of the most common complaints associated with antidepressant use and one of the least frequently addressed. Erogenous Arousal Cream works on the vascular side of this equation, increasing blood flow to tissue that has become less responsive. It won't address every dimension of SSRI-related sexual side effects, but for the sensation and arousal component specifically, it's a clinically relevant tool. Discuss with your HerTeleMeds clinician whether this fits your full picture.

Will this work if my low arousal is related to menopause?

+

Perimenopause and menopause reduce estrogen, which directly affects genital blood flow, tissue elasticity, and sensitivity. For women whose arousal difficulties are primarily vascular in origin — the physical responsiveness to touch has decreased — Erogenous Arousal Cream addresses that mechanism directly. If the issue is also about desire (wanting), Connect Us Boost Spray and this cream work on different parts of the experience and can complement each other. Your HerTeleMeds clinician can help you identify which is driving your experience.

Is it safe to use with condoms?

+

Non-latex condoms and barrier methods (polyurethane or polyisoprene) are recommended. Alprostadil-containing products may degrade latex, which could compromise barrier effectiveness. If you use latex barriers, discuss this with your HerTeleMeds clinician.

Can topical arginine trigger a herpes outbreak?

+

There is limited research on topical arginine applied to genital tissue and its effect on herpes outbreaks. While arginine has a theoretical connection to HSV replication, there is not enough evidence to say that topical arginine products will trigger outbreaks in most people. Your HerTeleMeds clinician can help you find alternatives if you are concerned.

I have pelvic floor dysfunction. Will this work for me?

+

Erogenous Arousal Cream works on vascular arousal — increasing blood flow to genital tissue. For women whose decreased sensation stems from nerve damage, pelvic floor dysfunction, or other non-vascular causes, the vascular mechanism may produce limited results. This doesn't mean it's inappropriate, but setting expectations accurately is important. Your HerTeleMeds clinician will help you determine whether vascular arousal support is the right starting point for your specific situation.

Your body remembers how good it used to feel. Give it what it needs to get there.

Erogenous Arousal Cream is for women who want the physiological part of arousal — the blood flow, the warmth, the sensitivity that makes touch feel like something again — back in their corner. A HerTeleMeds clinician will review your history, confirm this is the right formulation for your experience, and help you build the complete picture of what your intimate life needs right now.
