ABOUT THE TREATMENT

What is Latisse®?

Latisse is a prescription medicine used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker. It contains bimatoprost 0.03%, the only FDA-approved active ingredient for treating hypotrichosis—inadequate or not enough lashes.

It's applied once daily to the upper lash line using a sterile, single-use applicator. Most people see fuller lashes by week 8, with full results visible at week 16.

  • Extends growth phase

Bimatoprost extends the anagen — active growth — phase of each follicle.

  • Clinically proven*

    Demonstrated efficacy in published trials.

  • Triple effect

Lashes grow longer, fuller, and darker over time.

  • Physician prescribed

Only available through a licensed provider. We make sure it's right for you.

HOW TO APPLY

Four steps, every night

  1. STEP 01

    Cleanse & prepare

Remove makeup and contact lenses; pat the upper lash line dry.

  2. STEP 02

    Load the applicator

Place one drop on a single applicator. Use a fresh applicator each time.

  3. STEP 03

    Apply to upper lash line

Draw along the upper lash line only. Do not apply to the lower lid.

  4. STEP 04

    Blot & continue

Blot excess. Repeat on the other eye with a fresh applicator.

REAL RESULTS

Lashes that grow with you.

In a clinical study, 78% of patients saw a significant increase in overall eyelash prominence at week 16.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is Latisse safe?

+

Latisse is FDA-approved for treating inadequate eyelashes. Like all medications it can have side effects—including itching, redness, and rarely a darkening of the eyelid skin or iris. Your provider will review your history before prescribing.

How long until I see results?

+

Most people notice longer, fuller lashes by week 8. Full results are typically visible at week 16 with continued nightly use.

Do I need a prescription?

+

Yes—Latisse is a prescription medication. HerTeleMeds connects you with a U.S.-licensed provider who reviews your information online and prescribes if appropriate.

Can I wear contacts or makeup?

+

Remove contacts before applying Latisse and wait 15 minutes before reinserting. You can wear makeup as usual—just apply Latisse to clean, dry skin first.

What if I stop using it?

+

Lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months after stopping treatment.

Important Safety Information

Indication

LATISSE® (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% is indicated to treat hypotrichosis of the eyelashes by increasing their growth, including length, thickness, and darkness. LATISSE® is an FDA-approved prescription medication.

Warnings and Precautions

  • Iris pigmentation: LATISSE® may cause increased brown iris pigmentation, which is likely to be permanent. While treatment with LATISSE® can be stopped, it is not known whether changes in iris pigmentation are reversible.
  • Eyelid skin darkening: LATISSE® may cause darkening of the eyelid skin, which may be reversible after discontinuation.
  • Macular edema: Macular edema, including cystoid macular edema, has been reported during treatment with bimatoprost ophthalmic solution. LATISSE® should be used with caution in patients with risk factors for macular edema (e.g., aphakic patients, pseudophakic patients with a torn posterior lens capsule).
  • Hair growth in unintended areas: Apply only to the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes. DO NOT APPLY to the lower eyelid. Hair growth outside the treatment area is possible if LATISSE® repeatedly runs or drips off the eyelid.
  • Bacterial keratitis: There have been reports of bacterial keratitis associated with the use of multiple-dose containers of topical ophthalmic products that became inadvertently contaminated. To avoid contamination, do not allow the tip of the bottle or the applicator to contact surrounding structures, fingers, or any other unintended surface.
  • Contact lenses: LATISSE® contains benzalkonium chloride, which may be absorbed by soft contact lenses. Contact lenses should be removed prior to application and may be reinserted 15 minutes after administration.
  • Existing ocular conditions: If you have a history of ocular pressure-related conditions (such as glaucoma) or are currently being treated for elevated intraocular pressure, consult your prescribing provider before using LATISSE®.

Common Adverse Reactions

The most common adverse reactions, occurring in approximately 4% of patients, are eye pruritus, conjunctival hyperemia, skin hyperpigmentation, ocular irritation, dry eye symptoms, and erythema of the eyelid. Stop use and contact your provider if you experience eye redness, irritation, or any change in vision.

Pregnancy and Nursing Mothers

There are no adequate and well-controlled studies of LATISSE® administration in pregnant women. Caution should be exercised when LATISSE® is used during pregnancy or while nursing. Tell your provider if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding before starting LATISSE®.
